How Round is Your Spiritual Tire?

Imagine dividing a tire into three pizza slice segments. That is one way to think of our spiritual vitality – a tire divided into the three segments of KNOWING, BEING, and DOING.  If one of them gets a little flatter than the others the tire jolts and bumps down the road more than rolls.  If one area gets too flat the tire doesn’t roll at all.

If our KNOWING gets flatter than our BEING and DOING we tend to attempt good and beautiful things in uniformed ways.

If our BEING gets flatter than KNOWING and our DOING we tend to get burnt out and lose sight of who we are and why we are doing what we are doing.

If our DOING gets flatter than our KNOWING and our BEING we can become spiritually haughty and full of opinions and insights un-tempered and under-informed by experience.

To be faithful followers of Jesus we need to keep our minds full, our spirits singing, and our hands dirty.
